i.pro CHAUX SOCLI is a grey natural hydraulic lime. Its production started in 1903 and i.pro CHAUX SOCLI is now produced with the same process as at the begining.
Dedicated to restoration or green buildings, it has always be used for masonry works or undercoats while white limes are more dedicated to finishing coats or repointings.

Fields of application

  • Masonry
  • Tiles
  • Lime concrete
  • Render
  • Repointing
  • Roof
  • Half Timbering-Shuttering-Skeleton construction
  • Roof insulation (hemp and lime)

Properties of natural hydraulic lime are numerous:
  • It allows buildings to "breathe", and does not trap moisture in the walls
  • Lime re-absorbs the carbon dioxide (CO2) emitted by its calcination (firing), thus partially offsetting the large amount emitted during its production
  • Lime is a useful material for all material (stone, bricks …) it doesn't damage. Indeed, i.pro CHAUX SOCLI is particularly useful in designing mortars and renders to complement the strength of natural stone and soft brick construction
  • Lime mortars are very workable
  • It has a low modulus of elasticity
  • Stone and brickwork bonded with lime is easier to re-use
  • Double set avoid cracks and shrinkage

  • Always remove excess mortar at the bottom of the wall
  • Always take care of excessive weather conditions (rain and sun) and protect walls
  • Work between 8° and 30°C
  • Protect the supports during and after the application
  • Store bags in dry conditions, one year after production date, mentioned on the bags
